It is natural to have concerns about the overall safety of pet vaccines. Since Maplewood Animal Hospital is AAHA accredited, we follow the highest safety and quality standards for vaccinating pets. All of the vaccines we use are designed to provide the most protection with the smallest possible dose, and with the smallest likelihood for causing side effects.
However, it is normal for some pets to feel a little drowsy or be sensitive around the vaccination site for a short time after their appointment. These instances are rare, but not unheard of. If you have any concerns, let us know immediately.

The distemper, parvo, and hepatitis combination vaccine is also required for dogs, and the feline distemper combination vaccine is required for cats.
